EPDM Roofing

EPDM single-ply membranes have been the commercial roofing industry’s material of choice for nearly half a century, and we have been defining the standard since the beginning. Today, Quality Architectural Metal & Roofing, Inc. offers the most high-performance, energy-efficient, sustainable and innovative line of EPDM membranes and accessories on the market.

EPDM rubber is a type of synthetic rubber that is used in many applications. EPDM is an M-Class rubber under ASTM standard D-1418; the M class comprises elastomers having a saturated chain of the polyethylene type.

A flat roof is a roof which is almost level in contrast to the many types of sloped roofs. The slope of a roof is properly known as its pitch and flat roofs have up to approximately 10°. Flat roofs are an ancient form mostly used in arid climates and allow the roof space to be used as a living space or a living roof.

TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin, a single-ply roofing membrane that covers the surface of the roof. The name is a bit misleading, because rather than being a plastic, TPO is actually one of a few different types of rubber, usually a blend of polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber.

PVC roofing or polyvinyl chloride is a single-ply roofing solution used on commercial or industrial roofs that are flat or low sloped. PVC or polyvinyl chloride, is the third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer.
